Wedding Songs

BEFORE THE CEREMONY

Generally, classical music is played, although there are many modern songs as well. These songs may easily be changed with the "during the ceremony" and "after the ceremony" musical numbers. It's the Bride's day, and she gets a bunch of discretion. In no particular order, here are a few suggestions:

Suite for Orchestra no 3 in D major
Johann Sebastian Bac

Forever In Love
Kenny G

 "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring"
Composer: Johann Sebastian Bach

Water Music Suite no 2 in D major,
George Frideric Handel

Water Music Suite no 1 in F major,
George Frideric Handel

Canon and Gigue for 3 Violins and Basso Continuo in D major

Johannes Brahms

Chorale Preludes (11) for Organ, Op. 122: no 8, Es ist ein Ros entsprungen
Johannes Brahms
DURING THE CEREMONY
Of course, this music is soft as well. Generally, instrumental versions are best, with the occasional soloist. You are free to choose any of the "Before The Ceremony Songs" as your tastes allow.

"Ave Maria"
Composer: Franz Schubert

Mass for 3 Voices, Organ, Harp, Cello and Double Bass in A, M 61/Op. 12: Panis angelicus

AFTER THE CEREMONY

Fiddler on the Roof: Sunrise, Sunset
(Choose the style or version you prefer!)

Serse, HWV 40: Ombra mai fu "Largo"
George Frideric Handel

Symphony for Organ no 5 in f minor, Op. 42 no 1: 5th movement, Toccata
Charles-Marie Widor

Indian Queen, Z 630: Trumpet Tune and Air
Henry Purcell

The Toast of New Orleans: Be My Love
Nicholas Brodszky Salut d'aour Op. 12
Sir Edward Elgar Solomon, Arrival of the Queen of Sheba
George Fridreic Handel

The First Dance This totally depends on your own musical tastes. It can be the first song you danced together to, the first you heard together, or even a song that best describes your relationship. It doesn't even have to be slow. As always, the Bride has total discretion, although, for this one, the Groom should have some say too!
